Private Residence

Glendale, Arizona

Investigation Date: 04-26-2008

Property Description and History:

We were contacted by Carol from Glendale to investigate her home.   Carol lived in a large home with a guest house in the outskirts of Glendale, Arizona.

Claims of Activity

Since her mom died at the home on Feb, 2008, she has had many experiences, as well as her boyfriend who lives with her. The fire alarm would go off at different times for no reason. She changed the batteries out and it would still happen. The first occurred when she came back from the funeral and the alarm was beeping. Her boyfriend took the alarm off the wall to change the batteries, took out the batteries to change them and it started beeping

She also found an old pair of eyeglasses of her mother’s just sitting on the coffee table. She was not sure there they came from, as her mother had new glasses that Carol took to the funeral home.

Also, her mother’s favorite blouse was in the suitcase she took to Nebraska for the funeral and when she arrived it was gone. She searched the home there and here in Phoenix and has still not found it.

A couple of days before her mother died, Carol’s boyfriend slept out in the guest house and he woke up to find “spirits” in the room just swirling about. The dogs started barking, and he thought there were approx. 3-4 spirits in the room with him.

The Investigation

WCGAPS team arrived early in the evening to begin. We interviewed Carol and her boyfriend and began setting up our cameras and equipment in the home and the guest house.

The various teams took turns to investigate all areas of the home and guest house and were not able to find anything out of the ordinary.  While investigating the guest house where Carol’s boyfriend had experienced the lights swirling in the room, one of the investigators became very sick to her stomach. She also felt very uneasy. When arriving back to the main house she felt much better so was able to determine it was something in the guest house.

Investigation Results:

The team was able to debunk all of the claims of activity from the homeowner.  During the investigation we noticed some strange lights dancing across the living room ceiling (in the area where her mother had died) but after some closer investigation was able to debunk this by either passing lights from cars on the road or from her entertainment center, which was directly across the room.

After investigating the guest house were the investigator became ill, we were able to determine that an alarm clock was giving off very high EMF, high enough to top the top of the readings.. This can cause hallucinations as well as the nausea and feeling of being watched the investigator experienced. We believe this may be the explanation for the claims there.

After some research we were able to debunk the fire alarm also. After researching the make and model of this on the manufacturer’s website and well as any recall websites, we found that there were problems with this model.

After all the research and review of the cameras, audio and investigations we were not able to find anything paranormal in this home. We have asked Carol to keep us updated if they experience anything new.
