Private Residence
Gilbert, AZ
Investigated 12/08/07
A Local family contacted us to investigate their home. Claims included a piano heard playing on its own and a little boy apparition seen throughout the house. Objects would fall off the wall in oldest child’s bedroom with no explanation. Voices and whispering were also heard throughout the house. The mother believes this is a ghost of a small boy who has followed them from a haunting from another state on the East Coast. She describes the little boy as being around 8 years old, wearing period clothing from the 1920’s and very friendly. The family is not scared, but wants to know if we can find scientific evidence for what they see and hear. We arrived at the residence around 9pm to begin setting up. The mother and son were attending the investigation to assist us with any questions. Our first order of business was to debunk some of the claims. We concluded that the walls are thin and acoustics are just right to hear echoes in other rooms. The light from passing cars can play tricks on the eyes in the piano room. Curtains were seen moving along with cold spots in the master bedroom, but found a small draft from the window to explain this occurrence. We finished the investigation around 1pm and spend the next few weeks reviewing our equipment. Andy sat down with the owners to go over the findings shortly after. An EVP was captured in one of the bedrooms that appears to be in another language, but remains unknown at this time. Two investigators also captured an EVP of music playing with harmony while in a downstairs bedroom that sounded similar to organ music. The recorder on the piano at the time didn’t pick up anything and there was no contamination at the time from a passing car or neighborhood house. Based on our findings, there appears to be some unexplained activity, but we are unable to say it is paranormal in nature or that the location is haunted.
