The George and Dragon Pub and Restaurant located on Central Avenue in Phoenix, AZ have many claims of paranormal activity from owner David Wimberley and staff. David has heard his named called out on several occasions. Other events include having hair pulled, being poked in the back, and glasses clanking behind the bar. Many of the staff had their own experiences during busy times and late after the business closed for the night. One of the staff members we interviewed stated that the in the women’s bathroom, patrons have heard humming and feelings of being watched. Also, many employees have felt a presence in the kitchen area.
We arrived around 10:00pm to take a look at the location and start conducting interviews. Our equipment set up couldn’t take place until 2:00am after the business closed down due to possible evidence contamination. We went lights out and started the investigation around 2:30am. We were able to debunk some claims right away. The electrical box is located in the narrow kitchen area which gives off high EMF readings. This can create a sense of being watched or that someone is there. We also wanted to see how thin the walls are between the women’s and men’s bathroom. Indeed we could hear someone humming from the other bathroom when we tested the theory.
We closed the investigation around 5:45am and broke down all of the equipment.
